Keiko started acting at the age of 10, but still attended Mid-Pacific Institute, and after matriculating went to Whitman College, where she studied for one year as a drama major. One of her first roles was in 1993, a guest appearance in the television series “Renegade”. She followed this up with a small role in “Sister, Sister”, before landing another role in “ER”. She would then appear in her first film in 1998, entitled “Hundred Percent”. Her net worth was now established.

Agena started to gain a lot of popularity and a significant increase in net worth when she joined the cast of “Gilmore Girls”. She played a role significantly younger than her actual age; the series originally ran for seven seasons and ended in 2007, and received a lot of critical acclaim. Aside from this, she became a part of the film “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” in which she played Mearing’s Aide with Mearing being played by Frances McDormand. She then appeared in three episodes of “Felicity”, playing a girl who helps the lead character in the series created by JJ Abrams. She then received an Ammy Award which honors Asian and Asian-Americans in the film/television industry. Her next project would be the cartoon series “Kim Possible” in which she voiced the character Yori from season 2 to season 4 of the show. Her net worth was rising steadily.

Keiko was then cast in the film “Hair Show” which starred Mo-Nique, playing the character Jun Ni in the film. She then made several guest appearances which increased her net worth further. She appeared in “Private Practice”, “Castle”, and in the 12th episode of the final season of “ER”. In 2008, she became a part of the film “Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous” alongside Jessica Simpson. Two years later she made an onstage appearance in “No-No Boy” before becoming a part of an episode of “House”.

In 2015, Agena was part of a reunion panel of the “Gilmore Girls” held at the ATX Festival, and was also a participant in a couple of tapings of the podcast entitled “Gilmore Guys”. In the same year, she launched her own podcast “Drunk Monk Podcast” in which she watched the series “Monk” alongside Will S. Choi while they drank alcohol.

For her personal life, it is known that Keiko married Shin Kawasaki 2005 – they actually married in a helicopter over Las Vegas!

#Quote
1Ever since I found out I got the part on Gilmore Girls, my life has been changing in so many ways. It seems as though all we get is good news. I'm just so grateful to be a part of it. It's a wholesome show with an edge. I have no idea how we pull it off.
2Being on a successful show is kind of like being a sea turtle. Every year sea turtles lay hundreds and hundreds of eggs but only a few manage to survive and mature. It's the same with TV pilots. There are so many great ideas, but for whatever reason only the lucky ones get picked up. I know that sounds kind of cheesy, but that's how it feels to me.
3I am really fortunate to have parents who supported my plan to become an actress when I was a little kid. And then there was my Grandma. She was the best. She was always there and ready to drive me to all my plays and stuff.
4I've learned a lot of things from Lane. For starters, she has this great friendship with Rory - this incredible female bond. Before the show I was a bit of a tomboy and most of my friends were guys. Now, however, I am still a tomboy, but I have started having some really great friendships with girls as well as guys.
5The women I admire most in this business are Susan Sarandon, Bette Midler and Winona Ryder. Susan Sarandon because she's, well, Susan Sarandon. Winona because she's never compromised herself by showing her body in any of her love scenes, and Bette Midler because she has such a varied life. Her family, her marriage and her career are all priorities.
